There have been changes that Alexa is now implementing with its ranking system. The big question that most website owner now has is that how can it affect our traffic in our sites. Basically, it won’t affect our traffic but the ranking that they give us might fluctuate or increase. For years now they have been implanting the ranking that is based on the usage of their alexa toolbar. A lot are saying that it isn’t that reliable because we can change our alexa ranking by simply using their toolbar. A lot of site owners are complaining about this because it can’t be trusted so they sent a complaint on alexa. Provided some suggestion that I think Alexa has now considered. Now the alexa ranking system is based on the internet population’s interest on the site itself.

The last time I check my alexa ranking it was 2 million and now it has gotten to 12 million. So to say, I become its regular reader. This has been one of the best link baiter and brought visitors from a lot of blog to this site.

The one who made it is Dane Carlson. He likes to talk about business opportunities offline or online, although I am not interested on reading his articles I have become a regular visitor because of his widget. Making a widget is one of the best things to bring some traffic to your site. He has made use to this and now he is getting more traffic because of it. The site is business-opportunities.biz. I think that almost everyone in the industry already know him because of the widget which has made him popular.

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you heard of Entrecard? Well, the first thing that comes to my mind is about using it to drive traffic. This article is all about using entrecard’s advertising power to your advantage.

When I first joined entrecard 3 month’s ago, I was so happy that they are sending me some traffic even if I’m not using the credits that have gotten when someone is advertising on my site. I don’t believe that having in front of my audience all the time will help on someone clicking it because they aren’t interested on the topic. The only who wants to click on it is those who are interested in it, so this is why I’m not displaying them in front of everybody.

I have found a great plug-in to which is available to all Wordpress users. This is plug-in is the one I’m using now to setup my Adsense. It is called the “All in One Adsense and YPN”. All you have to do is fill in some information on how you would like your campaign look like and it will do the rest for you. This has given us the convenience of setting up the campaign on just an easy way. You can even try some experiment with your ads campaign and run it from different position and random formats. I never really try to know him because I thought that he was just one of those small time blogger who are doing it all to be notice. If wasn’t for John Chow mentioning in his blog that his nemesis is Shoemoney I wouldn’t visit his blog. John Chow said that one of the best ways to market your blog is to get a review at Shoemoney for just T-shirt with your own company or website. He also says that doing this my get my blog to be know in the blogging world. The first time I have visited his blog, I found out that I can be looking at a great blog here because the said blog is able to compete with John Chow who has been more than 5 years in the industry. The blog is dealing with tips on how to drive and market your blog. Like John Chow, one of his favorites is the videos. I think that making a video would definitely give you more visitors since you have the power to use YouTube on your advantage. One thing that I have notice about his post is that most of them are just short but he has been receiving as much traffic for those short posts. With these findings, I got a new idea that shorter post doesn’t mean that you will not get some attention to them. This is a good example of a short and meaningful post. This is a lesson that you should not try to make post that are longer but does not come from your own idea. Do not copy, what the other person post on his blog.

I think that most of us by mow already know John Chow because he has been in the business for five years teaching us to be successful on the blogging industry. The only way I think that one may not know him is that is because he is just new in the industry and doesn’t know what to do in this world. I remember when I was starting my first blog that I tried very hard without any direction. It took me 4 months but I can’t go anywhere because no one has leaded me on how the things are done here.

It was only on January that I started following John Chow. I found him on ad from Adword. At first I was not an avid fan but as I was reading his articles I learned many things that I wish that I have done when I was just starting out. He has provided some many articles on how to bring traffic to my blog. Most of them involve SEO. This is the first time that I have learned about SEO and doesn’t really understand much about it, so I set my browser to his page whenever I’m opening my internet. This was the best thing that I have done in my life.

Every time that I have seen a new article I wouldn’t miss to comment on it. By commenting on the said article I was able to be one of the top commentators which also give me some traffic. This is one of the reasons why I like commenting on his blog. I can avail some of his traffic to my site. It is like a free advertisement on his blog.

Whenever he was ask on monetizing a blog, he always stated that work on traffic first then monetization will come. He is also the one that made me realize that traffic is more important than PR. A good traffic is best thing to get some monetization from your site. He also stated that don’t depend on Adsense alone but try to put more advertisement on your site. He said that if his site is monetized on Adsense alone then he will just earn $1, 000 a month instead of $30, 000 a month.

As I already stated before on my first post that this is my second blog that got its name from my first business blog, but because the URL is new and most of the post are only new then I have to submit this site to technorati again. I’m force to claim my blog again because this si the first thing that you must do in technorati in order to used their services. We have the right on how should we claim out blog. The first one being is the quick claim which is the easiest way because all you have to do is enter the username and password for the blog and you can claim your blog. The second one, post claim requires you to write a post about technorati and link it to your Technorati Profile . I have chosen the second one because this is a great way to have a review from your blog of the famous technorati site. Once that you have write a blog post for technorati then you can start releasing the spiders which will release the spiders that will claim your site.

Once you have claimed your site then you have the choice of deleting the claim information on your site. Honestly, I think that it would be a waste of time deleting such a post because you have spent some time and effort on it. Deleting it would only mean that you have waste another good post which could be valuable information to your readers.

Another thing that I like about technorati is that you can get some advertisement on them by just contacting their sales team. They didn’t state about the pricing so that is what you needed to ask to their sales team.

I thought of making a review about this site because it has always helped me in the past. The one thing about I like about this site is that you can get indexed by a lot of search engines because you can submit to as many social sites you want. You don’t need to add each social site to your own blog because they almost have a complete list. They have the most popular social sites around the net. Forget those social sites that aren’t known because they will not give you what you really like, the traffic.

I can’t believe how fast my blog got accepted on BlogCatalog. This is not the first time that I have passed a blog and got accepted by them. The first time I pass a blog took me a week and it also took me 4 times to pass before my blog got finally accepted.

As this post imply on the title so I’m going to explain how it can be used to get some traffic to our site.
